Where does the yield in Xverse Earn come from?

Short answer: Yield in Xverse Earn comes from onchain protocols, not from Xverse paying bank-style interest. Which protocol and which reward asset you get depends on the Earn card you open. Rates move and are not guaranteed.

Live Earn paths

Earn path What you deposit Where yield comes from Reward asset
Vesu USDC lend (Starknet) USDC on Starknet Lending market supply yield (borrower interest shared with suppliers) USDC
Bitcoin Staking (Stacks) sBTC + unlocked STX bond Proof of Transfer (PoX) staking rewards sBTC only (not bare BTC)
WBTC native stake (Starknet) WBTC on Starknet Starknet native staking via the in-app path Check the reward ticker in-app
strkBTC liquid to native stake (Starknet) strkBTC (liquid to native stake flow) Starknet staking path shown on that Earn card As shown in-app for that card
STX Stacking (Xverse Pool) STX PoX stacking for locking STX BTC
Spark USDB Rewards and Flashpoints USDB / Spark activity when the card appears Soft rewards or points-style programs on Spark Soft wording only. Check the Earn or Spark screen.

Open Earn and select one product at a time. Paths do not all pay the same asset or unlock the same way.

Soft paths (check the app first)

Path What Support can say
BOB BTC strategies, Lombard, older Earn Portal, historical sBTC peg copy Only list these if the card still appears in your app. If it is gone, it is not a current Earn product.
Any APY, TVL, or "best rate" number Not published in Support. Use the rate shown on your screen.

Not available in Earn

  • Hermetica
  • Zest lending (supply or lend as an Earn product)
  • STRK staking as a separate Earn product (distinct from WBTC native stake or strkBTC stake cards)
  • Dual Stacking: discontinued. Past positions unlocked at PoX-5. Do not use Dual Stacking guides.

Zest Borrow is Discovery only (not Earn yield). Live Borrow is Vesu (WBTC collateral to stables). See the Borrow articles.

What this is not

  • Not Xverse balance-sheet interest.
  • Not a promised APY.
  • Not Dual Stacking.

How to see your source before you deposit

  1. Open Earn and tap the specific card (Vesu USDC lend, Bitcoin Staking, WBTC native stake, strkBTC stake, Stacking, or Spark USDB / Flashpoints if shown).
  2. Read deposit asset, reward asset, lockup or cooldown, and fees on the confirm screen.
  3. For Bitcoin Staking, confirm rewards show sBTC, not L1 BTC.
  4. For WBTC native stake, read the reward ticker on screen before you confirm.
  5. If the screen does not show a live path, that product is not available for you.
