I revoked my STX stacking but my funds are still showing as locked — how do I fix this?

After revoking a stacking delegation in Xverse, your STX will be automatically unlocked at the end of the stacking cycle. If you're still seeing your funds locked in the wallet after this time, it is could be a display issue caused by a cached balance in the app — your funds are actually available on-chain.

Step 1: Verify your real balance on-chain first

Before doing anything in the app, confirm your actual stacking status directly on the Stacks blockchain:

  1. Go to explorer.hiro.so
  2. Enter your Stacks (STX) wallet address in the search bar
  3. Check your balance status to see whether the funds are still locked or fully available
  4. If your full balance is showing `Available`, meaning your funds are unlocked.

Step 2: Trigger a balance refresh with a small transaction

If the explorer confirms your STX is unlocked but the Xverse app still shows a locked balance, you can force the app to re-sync by initiating a small transaction:

  1. Send 0.0001 STX to your own Stacks address (send-to-self)
  2. Wait for the transaction to confirm — this usually takes under a minute on Stacks
  3. Once confirmed, return to your Xverse home screen and pull down to refresh
  4. Your full unlocked balance should now appear as available

This transaction triggers Xverse to re-query your on-chain balance state and clears the stale cached data.

If you are still experiencing issues, contact Xverse support and include your Stacks address so the team can check your stacking status directly.
