Since Xverse is a non-custodial wallet, your wallet is fully managed and controlled by you, not Xverse. We do not store your seed phrase, private keys, or wallet data on our servers. This means:
You cannot permanently delete a wallet
There is no way to delete a wallet from the blockchain. If someone has the correct seed phrase, the wallet can always be restored using any compatible wallet app, including Xverse.
How to Stop Using My Wallet?
While you can’t delete a wallet from existence, here are a few ways to remove access from your current device:
1. Reset Your Wallet in Xverse
This removes your wallet from the device while keeping it restorable with your seed phrase.
- Go to Settings → Security → Reset Wallet
- You’ll be logged out of the app, and wallet data will be cleared from your device.
Important:
Be sure to back up your seed phrase before doing this. Without it, you will permanently lose access to your wallet and funds.
2. Delete the App or Remove the Extension
If you no longer want to use Xverse on your device, simply:
- Mobile: Delete the Xverse app from your phone.
- Desktop: Remove the Xverse browser extension.
Can I Make the Wallet Inaccessible?
If you no longer want to use a wallet, and you’ve lost or discarded the seed phrase, then no one (including you) can ever access it again. In practice, it becomes inaccessible—but it still technically exists on the blockchain.
