You can fund your Xverse Wallet by sending crypto from another wallet or exchange. Xverse supports multiple assets across different networks, and each asset type must be sent to its compatible address. Sending to the wrong address type may result in assets not showing or being unusable. It’s important to double-check the address before sending.
In the Xverse app, there are three ways to view your wallet address:
1. Use the Receive Button on the Wallet Dashboard
- On the main wallet dashboard > select Receive
- You’ll be prompted to choose the type of asset you want to receive:
- Coins and Tokens (BTC, STX, Runes, BRC-20)
- Collectibles (Ordinals & Stacks NFTs)
This separation exists because Xverse stores assets in different address formats, depending on the asset type. Select the correct category and copy the displayed address to avoid sending assets to the wrong address type.
2. Use the Copy Icon Next to Your Account Name
- From the dashboard, select the copy icon next to your account name.
- A list of available wallet addresses will appear, including:
- Native Segwit BTC (bc1q…)
- Nested Segwit BTC (3…)
- Taproot / Ordinals (bc1p…)
- Stacks (SP…)
- Copy the address that matches the type of asset you plan to receive.
Important Note
- Do not send BTC to your Ordinals address (bc1p). BTC sent here will not appear in your balance and will require recovery to use. Check out: How to Recover Bitcoin from Your Ordinals Address (Taproot) in Xverse?
- Do not send Ordinals, Runes, or BRC-20 tokens to your BTC (bc1q or 3…) address. It may causes accidentally spending as fees or assets become inaccessible.
3. Scan a QR Code (for Mobile Transfers)
If you’re transferring assets from another mobile device:
- Select the QR scan icon on the wallet dashboard (top right, next to Settings).
- Choose the asset type you’re receiving > the app will display the QR code for the correct address.
- Use the sending wallet to scan the QR code or share the address via your preferred messaging app.
Tip for Safe Transfers
- Always double-check the address format before sending.
- When in doubt, refer to the asset type > address mapping in the Xverse app.
- If you’re not sure which address to use, contact Xverse Support before proceeding.
