Xverse allows you to connect multiple accounts from your Ledger device, giving you flexibility to manage additional accounts directly within the Xverse Wallet. Here’s how you can add an additional Ledger accounts.
Reminder
We don’t recommend using Ledger Live alongside Xverse with the same Ledger device to avoid potential issues; for more details, check out: Why You Should Avoid Using Xverse and Ledger Live on the Same Ledger Device
Step 1: Access the Hardware Wallet Setup
Navigate to Account > select Connect Hardware Wallet. This will initiate the same setup process you followed for adding your first account.
Step 2: Connect Your Ledger Device
Choose whether you’re adding the additional account with your current Ledger device or a different one. If the same device is used, Xverse will prompt a message to confirm that you want to add another account. Follow the steps to verify and continue.
Step 3: Verify and Complete the Setup
Follow the on-screen prompts, confirm details on your Ledger device as needed and name your new Ledger account to complete the account setup process.
Important Note on Derivation Paths
Due to a difference in derivation paths between Xverse and Ledger Live:
- The additional account created in Xverse may not correspond to the second account address shown in Ledger Live.
- This means your second account address in Xverse may appear as a new address in Xverse that does not match the second account in Ledger Live.
