Why do I See this Error?
This error occurs when you try to transfer funds from your Taproot address without having enough balance in your Nested Segwit address to cover the transaction fee.
Xverse separates Bitcoin from Ordinals, Runes, and BRC-20 tokens to protect your assets and avoid accidental spending. When you interact on Bitcoin, transaction fees are taken from your Nested Segwit address (starting with 3).
How to Resolve this?
- Check Your Balances: Open your Xverse wallet and verify the balance in your Nested Segwit addresses (starting with 3).
- Transfer Funds: If your Nested Segwit address lacks sufficient funds, transfer some Bitcoin to this address or purchase from our partnered on-ramp service providers (MoonPay, Transak,…)
- Retry the Transaction: After funding your Nested Segwit address, attempt the transaction again.

Always ensure you have enough Bitcoin in your Nested Segwit address to cover transaction fees when interacting with Ordinals, Runes, or BRC-20 tokens.
