Several factors can affect your Ledger’s ability to connect, including:
- Outdated Ledger firmware or Bitcoin App
- Chrome browser or Xverse Wallet extension issues
- Conflicts with Ledger Live and/or other wallet apps

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
Check Your Ledger Firmware & Apps
- Open Ledger Live on your computer and install any available Firmware updates. Refer to: Ledger Device Operating System (OS) Update Guide.
- Ensure your Bitcoin App (or Stacks App) are up-to-date. Check out: Install, uninstall and update apps.
- Completely quit Ledger Live, make sure the Bitcoin App (or Stacks App) is open on your Ledger device when connecting to Xverse.
Check Your Browser & Wallet Extension
- Use Google Chrome for the best experience. Make sure your browser is up-to-date.
- Ensure the Xverse Wallet extension is up-to-date.
- Restart Chrome and attempt the connection again.
Test on a Different Browser Profile or Computer
