How to Purchase Bitcoin with Fiat or Crypto Using Xverse

Xverse lets you buy BTC and STX directly in-app using fiat through trusted third-party onramp partners. You can pay using a variety of local and international methods, including cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and even other crypto.

Step 1: Choose Amount and Currency

On the wallet dashboard, select Buy. Enter the fiat amount you’d like to purchase. The currency is suggested based on your location, but you can change it if needed.

Note

If you select Pay with crypto tokens, you’ll be prompted to complete a swap transaction. This will convert your crypto tokens from other networks (such as Stacks) into BTC and deposit it directly into your Xverse Wallet.

Step 3: Review and Complete Your Order

The app will search for the best available quote for you to review. If you accept the quote, the app will redirect you to the provider’s platform to complete the purchase.

Tips for a Smooth Experience

  • It may take some time to complete the purchase, depending on network conditions and the provider’s processing time. Once completed, BTC will be sent directly to your Xverse wallet. You can track the status of your order on the provider’s website.
  • For the most accurate and available payment options in your location, avoid using a VPN when making a purchase.
  • Securely back up your seed phrase before funding your wallet. This is the only way to recover your assets if you lose access to your device.
  • When receiving BTC, always use your Native Segwit (bc1q) address to avoid any compatibility issues.
  • Be aware of network fees. Depending on the network and method, there may be variable fees for sending, swapping, or buying BTC.
