What is Stacking and How to Stack with Xverse Pool?

Stacking is the process of locking up STX tokens to support the network’s security and consensus mechanism, earning BTC rewards in return. There are multiple ways to stack and earn bitcoin: on an exchange, in a non-custodial pool, or by yourself. Two types of non-custodial stacking frequently used by DeFi users are:

1. Liquid Stacking: Users can stack their tokens while retaining liquidity, allowing them to trade or move their tokens without unlocking them.
2. Delegation Pool: Users delegate their tokens to a stacking pool, which aggregates multiple users’ tokens to meet the minimum requirements for stacking and distributes rewards proportionally.

What is Xverse Pool?

Xverse Pool is a trusted and reliable pool service built by the Xverse wallet team, allowing users to earn up to 10% Bitcoin yield. Xverse Pool operates as a delegation pool, where users can delegate their funds to Xverse to stack on their behalf. Xverse will distribute the rewards to users at the end of the stacking cycle.

How to Stack with Xverse Pool?

Step 1: In the wallet, navigate to the Earn tab (middle icon 📈) and select “Start Stacking”. You can also access the stacking page directly from here: https://pool.xverse.app/

Step 2: Specify the amount of STX you want to stack and input your BTC address for receiving stacking rewards (the payment address in your wallet is pre-filled by default, you can always change to your preferred address).

***Chrome Extension Users: You will need to sign two transactions to complete the delegation process. Skipping one of them will lead to a delegation failure.

Step 3: After the transaction gets confirmed, the dashboard will update your successful delegation status. However, your funds still remains unlocked awaiting to be included when the next cycle begins.

Important Notes:

• Minimum Requirement: The minimum amount to stack with Xverse is 100 STX.
• Stacking Cycle: Each cycle occurs every 2100 blocks (approximately 14-15 days), with reward distribution taking 2-3 days after the cycle ends.
• Locking Preparation: Registration closes 100-200 blocks before the cycle starts or when all stacking slots are filled.
• Funds Unlocking: If you wish to stop stacking, your funds will be unlocked 100 blocks after the cycle ends.
