What are the risks of Xverse Perps?

Short answer: there are real risks - Xverse Perps can liquidate your margin if price moves against you. You also take third-party bridge risk, protocol / venue risk, fee drag, and self-custody mistakes. Nothing about Xverse Perps guarantees fills, returns, or that you will be notified in time.

Risk checklist

Risk What it means What you can do
Liquidation Position can be closed when margin is insufficient; you can lose deposited margin Read liquidation price on every order review; use size you can afford to lose
Leverage / volatility Small BTC moves can wipe leveraged margin quickly Prefer lower size; do not treat perps like spot holding
Third-party bridge Funding uses Hyperunit (and related conversion). Not atomic / not Lightning-style. Delays or bridge failure modes apply Follow the 0.0003 BTC minimum; wait ~30 min; avoid blind retries
Venue / protocol risk Xverse Perps is Powered by Hyperliquid; venue outages, rule changes, or bugs can affect positions Keep size limited; withdraw when you are done trading
Fees Builder fee + Hyperliquid trading fees (and bridge / conversion costs) reduce outcomes Read fee lines in-app
No guaranteed fills Orders may not fill as expected Do not assume volume, APY, or TVL claims
Notification gap Push for fills / liquidations / funding is not promised here Watch the app; enable Notifications only if offered
Key / device loss Self-custody: lost seed can mean lost funds, including margin stack access Backup before funding
