How to recover BTC sent to the Ordinal address in Xverse?

If you’ve mistakenly sent Bitcoin (BTC) to an Ordinals address in Xverse, you can view and recover it.

Step 1: Enable Rare Sats

Ensure you have enabled rare sats in your wallet settings in order to view your sats bundles in the Rare Sats tab. If not yet, go to Settings (⚙️) > Advanced > toggle to Enable Rare Sats.

Step 2: Identify Sats Bundles

In the Collectibles tab, select Rare Sats. Regular Bitcoin will show as Common/Unknown Rarity Sats bundles. You can send these bundles back to your Payment address following Step 3.

If your sat bundle contains rare sats and you want to keep them from being spent, you can use the splitting tool on platforms like Magisat.io, Magic Eden, or Satting.io to isolate the rare sats and separate them from the rest of your bundle before recovering them to your Nested Segwit address.

⚠️ We strongly advise conducting thorough research into these services. Make sure to verify their security practices, ensure their websites are legitimate before entering your password or signing any transactions.

Step 3: Recover Common Sats Bundles

Select the bundle and transfer it to your BTC payment address. Disregard the warning message, as it doesn’t apply to regular Bitcoin transfers. Ensure you have enough BTC to cover transaction fees.

Note

Make sure you have enough BTC in your payment address (starting with 3) to cover the transaction fees.
