You can access Xverse on a desktop with the Chrome browser extension.

To get started, hop on over to xverse.app and select ‘Download for Chrome,’ then add the extension to your browser. From there, you’ll have the option to create a new wallet or restore a pre-existing Bitcoin and Stacks wallet by using the same secret recovery phrase.
